This book follows the end of Suspiciously Obedient.Lydia returns home disgraced, discouraged and confused about her dual attraction with Mike's hot and dominate side and Jeremy's agreeable and loving qualities. She and Jeremy travel to the campground owned by Lydia's family in Maine.
There, Mike has made friends with her family over weeks of time. The arrival of Lydia and Jeremy unravels all the lies. That Jeremy knew who she was before he met her. What happens when you come back for "exile" with your new boyfriend, and find your ex-boyfriend who coincidentally is your new boyfriend's best friend, and realize you love them both and can't choose between them. Fun end to this trilogy. Loved this trilogy, it was the first books of Julia Kent's that I have read and it was an excellent start.
The Premise
The third and final book in this series, Julia and Jeremy return from Iceland and finally everyone converges in Maine and we finally find out if Lydia, Mike and Jeremy will make it a triad….but I think we all know the answer to that.
The Good
The sex was hot.

The sex was all that was hot.
The Bottom Line
I finished the series, but it reinforced exactly why I try to stay away from serialized stories like this - it had potential as one book, but it wasn’t a good enough story to stretch over three.
Jeremy, Mike & Lydia are great characters. Mike tries to save Lydia from the scandal that has rocked their world. When caught on camera having sex Mike sends her away and sends Jeremy to watch over her. Lydia quits her job goes back home with Jeremy in tow and not knowing Mike is at her family's campground. A tragedy causes the trio to look closely and re-evaluate how they feel for Lydia. Jeremy & Mike decide Lydia is worth the great fight and nothing is going to stop them from having her in their lives. Read book in one day, GREAT Read!!!
I purchased the first book on Saturday the second on Sunday and the third on Monday due to the holiday weekend. The first totally ensnared me and I felt the need to see where the story was going since the end of book one was a curve ball. Book two was a little less creative once you accept the curve ball from book one and now this ending just left me perplexed. My only real complaint was the copious amounts of butt sex discussions. Not only do these characters have them with their parents, and close friends but they throw out lewd words and name calling in public and in front of almost strangers. There are even grandparents that do nothing but talk about sex and their intent to have sex. If the homestead that is the setting for half this book was a nudist colony I would have understood but it is not and threw me off.
I'm not sure...
I have to say, I'm an avid fan of Julia Kent and I'm not sure why it took me so long to read this series. It is by far my favorite. Lydia, Jeremy and Mike as well as all of her crazy family are a ton of fun. They are also completely accepting of one another and not in the least bit annoying. Sometimes in trying to be funny, authors just make characters over the top annoying but Julie Kent knows how to do it. We see a lot of challenges in the third installment and Lydia between two men she cares for deeply. Yes, you get resolution at the end of this story. It's worth the read.
Wonderful characters, real world issues, fun, fear, the power and faces of love... It's all a reader could ask for. It's worth reading the first two books first. The story arc is beautiful. But you can read this alone as quite a bit of the backstory is revealed. Ultimately it's t he story of an incredible woman who's lost while trying to find herself and two different but fabulous men who were also successful, but didn't have a clue who they truly are. The journey to the knowledge and their interrelationships is very grabbing. I found myself caring about their journeys and getting to know her family and friends, some of them absolutely outrageous my fun. I just loved this series. I love Julia Kent.
It is so much nicer being able to read a series/serial like this all at once. No waiting for the next book to be released. Just a nice marathon read. OR in this case re-read.
I adore the delicious characters that Julia Kent creates. Even the billionaires seem like the people next door. If you are a fan, then you know that her characters stroll in and out of all of her books. I forgot that about her stories until I re-read this and saw characters that were in another series of hers. It's like watching a soap opera. This week features this character, next week someone different, but this character does a walk on. It is so much fun getting to know all of the characters. I think that is why I love reading Ms Kent's books.
With this myriad of characters to choose from, Ms Kent has a long and illustrious writing career ahead of her. Although her characters stroll around a lot, there are still many characters that need there own books. I look forward to reading them.
